Manhart’s New Range Rover Sport Is The 'Gold' Standard Of Modified SUVs

Jan 10, 2024

Manhart Performance transformed a Land Rover Range Rover Sport P530 into an SV 650. It produces 653 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque.

Manhart Performance, a German company, has finally unveiled the Manhart Sport SV 650 SUV. This is a tuned version of the third-generation Range Rover Sport P530. Obviously, no Manhart masterpiece would be complete without a couple of exterior changes. Manhart has customized this incredible machine with their signature black and yellow style. Besides the exterior modifications, Manhart has also made stance changes to the vehicle. This means will keep the SV 650 stick to the road. All in the idea of making a Range Rover Sport that no one ought to have imagined. Boasting 653 horsepower, this SV 650 is a heck of a monster than the original model which arrives from the Land Rover manufacturer.

Aesthetic changes are a vital aspect of every car that Manhart Performance works on. Nonetheless, the manufacturer enhanced the engine output of the Range Rover Sport for the best performance. The V8 is a formidable beast as a typical stock engine. The 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 engine in the Range Rover Sport P530 generates 530 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. This engine provides far more output than most people need.

Given the car's existing powerful engine, Manhart Performance simply couldn't resist the chance to enhance it further. The company added an MHtronik powerbox to the car. This allows the SV 650 Range Rover Sport to produce an incredible 653 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. The distinctive V8 engine sound is going to a whole other level. This is thanks to the installation of a Manhart Stainless Steel Exhaust System with Valve Control. Regrettably, at present, there is no exhaust or performance upgrade that holds TÜV certification. Nevertheless, there's no need to worry as this regulation doesn't impact users within the United States.

Thus, the standard Range Rover Sport P530 outperforms the now-discontinued SVR. Using the Dynamic Launch system, the factory stock powertrain can accelerate this SUV to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds.

In line with the engine performance upgrade, Manhart also modified the exterior visuals of this Range Rover Sport P530. Manhart's signature gold accents are no less important in this SV 650 project. Sure enough, this gold and black color match perfectly with the individual body design of the Range Rover Sport. Lots of gold lettering and stripes run across the hood, roof, and tailgate, as well as on the sides of the car. Needless to say, the car is complete with a touch of Manhart Performance decals, just like the rest of their previous projects.

Manhart Performance doesn't fiddle with the Range Rover Sport's built-in interior at all. This isn't a concern, as the Range Rover Sport's cabin is everything it's cracked up to be. Black leather, rich fabrics, and forged carbon fiber work together inside the interior.

Speaking of the chassis, Manhart lowered the stance of the Range Rover Sport by about 30 mm or 1.18 inches. This is possible with the help of a coupling rod, which does not need TÜV certification. This setup will give the large SUV a truly sporty stance. Owing to the lowered stance, it turned out necessary to install new large-format Manhart forged wheels to give sufficient reinforcement for the bodywork.

Standing in perfect harmony inside the wheelhouse, the rims all measure 10×24 inches and are shod with 295/35ZR24 tires. This setup will keep the Range Rover glued to the road. Plus, these rims are eye-catching with a combo of double spokes and Y-spokes with a finish in Manhart's signature gold color.

Manhart has made it a 'gold' standard again. They've made a lot of outstanding car models over the years. This new one shows that they are going to set a new bar for SUV modifications. They took the formidable Range Rover Sport and elevated it to a level only Manhart could bring to a sports SUV. The extra punch puts the car as a spicier stablemate to the P530's built-in engine. Manhart is famous for their cosmetic modifications; no product would be complete without it. This German company truly understands how to enhance the existing powerful machines. Their new Manhart SV 650 points out their expertise.

At the launch of the SV 650 earlier this year, Manhart said they would only produce around 10 of these luxury SUVs. In light of it, this could potentially result in a higher price point compared to the initial pricing. The SV 650 is a great option for a modified car. The all-new Range Rover Sport SVR is set to be released on May 31 of this year. Although highly anticipated, the wait may seem long. The upcoming model will replace the old SVR. It is rumored to feature a tuned version of the 617 hp 4.4-liter V8 engine used in the BMW X5 M, but it is unclear how powerful it will be.
